How Do We Know

What's Best For You?

We work with trusted partners in your area - consignment stores, auction houses, appraisers, moving companies, interior decorators, and so on. We enjoy helping families during stressful situations.

Our founder and president, John Walsh, has over 15 years of experience in assessing risks, reducing costs, and seamlessly coordinating complex insurance programs for over 200 global subsidiaries as a former insurance executive at Zurich Insurance, Marsh & McLennan, and Aon in NYC.

As a local to New Jersey and Southeastern Pennsylvania, John Walsh grew up in Princeton, attended Princeton Day School, and graduated from The Lawrenceville School. He obtained his B.A. from The University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He earned a dual-major MBA in Finance and Marketing from Fordham University in New York City.

He is skilled in project management, collaboration, and problem solving. He has successfully downsized his own parents twice while working full time.

Senior Move Management Training

The experts at Walsh Senior Solutions are trained, insured, and bonded by The National Association of Senior Move Managers (NASMM.org), a leading membership organization for Senior Move Managers in the United States, Canada, and abroad. NASMM is recognized for its innovative programs and expertise related to Senior Move Management, transition, and relocation issues affecting older adults.

Senior Move Management professionals have backgrounds in gerontology, social work, health care, nursing and psychology, and others come to this growing industry from the corporate world of insurance, project management, technology, legal services, accounting, or marketing.

Senior Move Managers require a profound commitment to connecting with older adults and a desire to perform meaningful work. They have significant expertise in resources and approaches that save money, reduce stress, and produce quality results. Services are client centered and personalized to meet the client's needs and preferences.

Families, particularly, should never doubt the power of an outside expert because all members of the National Association of Senior Move Management must meet strict vetting requirements before approval, including:

  • Obtain general business liability insurance
  • Undertake and pass NASMM’s Cornerstone Courses
  • Provide NASMM with two letters of recommendation from senior clients they have moved or senior living communities with which they work
  • Provide a link to a live website highlighting their Senior Move Management Services
  • Sign and abide by the NASMM Code of Ethics and submit to oversight and guidance from the NASMM Ethics Compliance Commission

Consumers and referral sources should be confident that NASMM members represent the most qualified and capable Senior Move Managers in this growing profession.
